Getting a Medicare denial for “not medically necessary” services can seem like a slap in the face.
Although Medicare only pays for services it deems “reasonable and medically necessary,” it does provide tools to help (i.e. National Coverage Determinations (NCDs) and Local Coverage Determinations (LCDs)). The problem is that utilizing NCDs and LCDs correctly isn’t easy, but That’s where expert coder and trainer, Leonta (Lee) Williams, RHIT, CCS, CCDS, CPC, CPCO, CEMC, CHONC, CRC, AAPC Fellow, comes in.

You’ll be able to significantly reduce the number of denials you receive and write offs you process for the “not medical necessary” excuse. You’ll learn how to use these complex tools to improve your practice's overall revenue.
