Applying CLIA Standards to HCPCS Codes

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) requests Medicare Administrative Contractors (MACs) apply Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) standards covering facility certification to Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS) codes, some of which are subject to CLIA, while others are not. CMS provides an updated list of HCPCS codes subject to CLIA.
