The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) requests Medicare Administrative Contractors (MACs) work with therapy claims with a KX modifier, AFS claims, and other kinds of claims according to the Bipartisan Budget Act of 2018 which includes some rules on “Medicare extenders” that change claims handling.
